Micks car is built September 1973, so is 1 of the
last XA's ever made. XB's were also made in September 73.
The paint code is E which is pottery beige
and there were only 13 made in this colour, most of the paint is
original factory and looks a bit rough close up but comes up good in
photos especially if the front wheel is off the deck. The interior is all
original including torn seats. The
car is factory auto and the FMX is modified with stage 2 shift kit and a
3000 high stall converter. The
original block is 20 thou over o-ringed and fitted with head studs.
The crane cam is a small hydraulic
with standard rocker gear and idles fairly smooth. The carby is a
vacuum 780 holley which has been modified and sits on top of a Weiand manifold.
The car runs 9" slicks on the back at the drags and as you can see
it hooks up well. The best time
without the nitrous is 12.7 at 105mph consistently, and with the nitrous 11.4
